Bruce McLaren was a F1 driver from New Zealand who founded the McLaren team. He raced in the Formula 1 World Championship between 1958 and 1970 and won 4 Grands Prix during his career. By winning the 1959 United States Grand Prix he became the first racing driver from New Zealand to win an F1 race. In 1960 he finished runner-up in the Drivers World Championship. He was tragically killed whilst testing a Can-Am car at Goodwood in England in June 1970.
