Maurice Trintignant was a French F1 driver who raced in the Formula 1 World Championship between 1950 and 1964. During his long career, he won the Monaco Grand Prix twice, once for Ferrari in 1955 and a second time driving a Cooper for Rob Walker Racing in 1958. He achieved the unique distinction of being the first French racing driver to win a Formula 1 World Championship Grand Prix. He died aged 87 on the 13th February 2005.
