Nino Farina was an Italian Formula One World Champion who won the inaugural Drivers’ Championship Title in 1950. He also won the first ever Formula 1 race, the 1950 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. He was tragically killed in a road accident whilst driving to Reims for the 1966 French Grand Prix to assist in the production and filming of the movie Grand Prix.
