Patrick Tambay is a French ex-F1 driver who raced in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship between 1977 and 1986. Along with winning the 1982 German Grand Prix, he emotionally won the 1983 San Marino Grand Prix for Ferrari, driving #27, the number which his great friend Gilles Villeneuve had raced with at the event the year before.
