1936 Indianapolis 500

The 1936 Indianapolis 500 was the 24th running of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”. The event was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, United States on Saturday, 30 May 1936. Rex Mays started on pole position and Louis Meyer was the race winner. Having also won in 1928 and 1933, this was Meyer’s third and final Indy 500 victory.
