The 1977 Indianapolis 500 was the 61st running of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”. The event was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, United States on Sunday, 30 May 1977. Tom Sneva started on pole position and A.J. Foyt was the race winner. Having also won in 1961, 1964 and 1967, this was A. J. Foyt’s fourth and final Indy 500 victory.
