The 1991 Indianapolis 500 was the 75th running of “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing”. The event was held at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Indiana, United States on Sunday, 26 May 1991. Rick Mears started on pole position and was the race winner. Having also won in 1988, 1984 and 1979, this was Mears’ fourth and final Indy 500 victory.
