The 1974 South African Grand Prix was Round 3 of the 1974 Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held at Kyalami in South Africa on Sunday, 30 March 1974. Niki Lauda started on pole position for Ferrari and Carlos Reutemann was the race winner in the Brabham Ford. Reutemann’s maiden win was the first F1 victory achieved by an Argentine driver since Juan Manuel Fangio won the 1957 German Grand Prix.
