The late Carlos Reutemann was an Argentine ex-F1 driver who raced in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship between 1972 and 1982. He won 12 Grands Prix and claimed 6 pole positions during his F1 career. In 1981 he finished runner-up in the Drivers World Championship, losing out to Nelson Piquet by a single point at the 1981 Las Vegas Grand Prix. He won Grands Prix for Brabham, Ferrari and Williams and was a triple winner of the Brazilian Grand Prix and double winner of the United States Grand Prix. He was the only Argentine F1 driver to have a won a Grand Prix other than Juan-Manuel Fangio and José Froilan Gonzalez.
