The 2005 Brazilian Grand Prix was Round 17 of the 2005 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held in Interlagos, Brazil on Sunday, 25 September 2005. Fernando Alonso started on pole position for Renault and Juan Pablo Montoya was the race winner in the McLaren Mercedes. The result of this Grand Prix sealed the outcome of the 2005 Drivers’ Championship and Fernando Alonso won the world title for the first time.
