The 2005 European Grand Prix was Round 7 of the 2005 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held at the Nürburgring, Germany on Sunday, 29 May 2005. Nick Heidfeld started on pole position in the Williams BMW and Fernando Alonso was the race winner for Renault.
