Alessandro Nannini is an Italian ex-F1 driver who raced in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship between 1986 and 1990. He famously inherited victory in the 1989 Japanese Grand Prix after Ayrton Senna was disqualified but sadly his career was cut short after he sustained appalling arm injuries in a helicopter accident the following year.
