Carlos Pace was a Brazilian F1 driver who raced in the Formula 1 World Championship between 1972 and 1977. He won the 1975 Brazilian Grand Prix and qualified on pole position at the South African Grand Prix the same year. He was tragically killed in a plane crash near São Paulo in Brazil in March 1977.
