Jochen Rindt

Jochen Rindt was an Austrian Formula One World Champion who won the Drivers’ Title with Lotus in 1970. He is F1’s only posthumous champion and the first Austrian to win the title. Also, by winning the 1969 United States Grand Prix at Watkins Glen, he became the first racing driver from Austria to win a Formula One Grand Prix. He went on to win 6 Grand Prix races in total and, renowned for his speed, he also claimed 10 pole positions. He also won the Le Mans 24 Hours race in 1965.
