The 1962 South African Grand Prix was Round 9 of the 1962 Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held at the Prince George Circuit in South Africa on Sunday, 8 October 1962. Jim Clark started on pole position in the Lotus Climax and Graham Hill was the race winner for BRM. The result of this Grand Prix sealed the outcome of the 1962 Drivers’ Championship and Hill won the title for the first time.
