The 1997 German Grand Prix was Round 10 of the 1997 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held at Hockenheim in Germany on Sunday, 27 July 1997. Gerhard Berger started on pole position in the Benetton Renault and was the race winner. Berger’s win was his first F1 victory since the 1994 German Grand Prix and his first win for Benetton since the 1986 Mexican Grand Prix.
