The 1990 Japanese Grand Prix was Round 15 of the 1990 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held at Suzuka, Japan on Sunday, 21 October 1990. Ayrton Senna started on pole position in the McLaren Honda and Nelson Piquet was the race winner in the Benetton Ford. The result of this Grand Prix sealed the outcome of the 1990 Drivers World Championship and Senna won the world title for the second time.
