The 1987 Monaco Grand Prix was Round 4 of the 1987 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. The event was held on the streets of Monte Carlo on Sunday, 31 May 1987. Nigel Mansell started on pole position in the Williams Honda and Ayrton Senna was the race winner in the Lotus Honda. Senna won by a massive 33 seconds after passing early race leader Nigel Mansell on lap 29. This victory for Senna marked the first of the great Brazilian’s six wins in Monaco.
